We enjoyed our vacation to Ormond Beach Florida so much that we have told everyone about it and are already making plans to come back.  Our favorite part was the Ormond Beach pool, which was the pool for the hotel we were staying at.  It is so amazing.  The pool itself winds and bends around with islands in the middle with live palm trees on them.  I have never seen anything like it.  Here’s the best part, the pool was literally right on the beach next to the ocean.  Talk about awesome.

While we were there we went on the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail on the recommendation of locals who claimed it was some of the most beautiful natural scenery remaining in Florida.  It was quite a nice drive.  There were several places with beach and ocean access as well that we enjoyed. 

Another attraction is the Daytona 500 Experience.  We actually did not know about this place when we came, but it is quite elaborate.  There are rides and 3D movies that gave us the feel of being at a Nascar Event, or being on one of the race teams pit crew.

Being such avid golf fans, we visited the LPGA International Golf Course which was unbelievable.  I have been on some nice golf courses, but this one will always have a place in my memory.  I think it was designed perfectly for me, I played so well.

I don’t know if it is an Ormond Beach original or not but we enjoyed eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant.  My wife especially liked it.

Every year as Christmas approaches, my mind begins working to come up with unique gift ideas for family and friends.  I want to give something that I know they do not already have, that shows I put some thought into it.  I want it to convey the fact that I care about them, but if possible, would obviously prefer it if it does not break the bank.
