ATV CV Joints Are Among the Most Vulnerable Parts of an ATV
Posted in Uncategorized on October 22nd, 2010Do you have ATV’s? How hard do you play on them? Do you like to test them by pushing them to their limit? Many people do. They can be a lot of fun and a very useful tool for us. However, we can also push them beyond their limit and break the cv joints. ATV cv joints are a common part to break when they are being used a lot and being pushed to the edge. One of the main reasons that this happens is because they are exposed under the atv and can take hits from logs, rocks and other debris that the bike may go over.
There are places that can repair them in addition to being able to simply buy new ones. Whether you decide to repair or replace them will be up to you, but it is nice to know that there are options out there.
One of the most popular places to see ATV’s is on sand dunes. Though this may seem like a lot safer place to ride, there are still objects out there that can destroy the cv joint. When the cv joint is not working, neither is the rest of the bike. It is a crucial piece to the bike moving the way it should.
One way to determine whether or not you will get new atv joints or repair the ones you have is to find out how much the new ones are compared to repairing the ones you have. Many times this may be all that you need to make your decision.
