I Loved My Five Years with World Financial Group
If I would have had a better business sense back when I began at World Financial Group, I am sure I would have become very successful. As it turns out, I had not business education whatsoever and WFG became my source for business education. As soon as I started with WFG, I obtained all my licenses quickly and began working as a finance coach for residential families, and did so full time for five years.
One year ago, I made the decision to re-enter the world of the employee and put my finance business on hold. Doing so has allowed me to look back and see what I loved about my experience and what I did not. For a while, I loved being a finance coach. I did a lot of good things for families and their finances. Something that I grew to despise overtime, however, is the fact that I had to babysit my clients for years following. Each year during an annual review with a client, I would have to re-sell the product I sold and made a commission on, a year previous.
The process repeated every year and I got sick of it.
On the flip side of the coin, I have come to realize that there is a part of WFG that I miss terribly. WFG seems to attract a certain personality of person. Their system filters out the weak minded, and people who only joined to get rich quick. At one event I attended, I purchased one of those rubber wristbands which has “No Family Left Behind” written on it. Although I have been away from WFG for over a year now, I still wear this wristband.
