Reasons to home school
Any discussion about home schooling has to take into account the complex factors that go into that decision. Here are just a few things to think about.
Living in a bad area usually means kids from the same demographic, that’s not necessarily a bad thing but having no control over y our child’s influences is. Not to mention that because schools are paid out of taxes collected in the area poorer schools are more likely to have less materials and underpaid teachers.
Not all children are good with the structure offered by public schools and yet are very intelligent. The problem is often that they get bored easily and they need to be intellectually engaged in what they’re doing to accel. The best option for these talented kids is home school, or at least a very good gifted and talented program if it’s available.
Some people that are concerned about the effect of public school on their children’s belief, especially Christians, may want to adopt a Christian home schooling program to ensure a spiritual education and along side their school education.
At any rate, these are questions and concerns that any family must answer for themselves. It’s best to start with the facts and Heritage home school can help answer them.
