Changing The Look Of A Bathroom
Posted in Kitchen and Housewares on June 14th, 2010When my husband and I moved into our new apartment, we took one look at the faded, peeling laminate floor in the bathroom and decided the apartment could use a little remodeling. We got approval from our landlord to rip out the old bathroom flooring and replace it with new tile. My husband offered to do the work and the landlord paid for the materials. We picked out a nice neutral color of ceramic tile.
With the help of a contractor, my husband ripped out the old flooring, made sure the concrete underneath was level, and then went to work on the tile. While the contractor measured the tile and the space, my husband cut the tile to the appropriate length. Before too long the tile was on the ground, carefully spaced, and ready to be grouted. My husband and I mixed up the grout and used trowels to apply it to the tile. Then we carefully wiped off the excess grout and before we knew it, we had a beautiful new bathroom floor. It made a huge difference in the overall look of the space.
